A small change in the pattern, and a little bit of progress. Despite the motifs being quite large, I still like them and think they will work on my table. Its bigger, bolder which makes it more modern (I tell myself : )

Not long after I first posted about the tablecloth, I kept fiddling with the pattern (I have been fiddling with this pattern, wanting to make it, for years!). Olga’s Tablecloth

My grandmother made this small tablecloth years ago. I inherited it, and I love it. I wish it was in good condition, it is old and stained, the bright sun today makes it look better than it is, hiding its imperfections. I have been wanting to make a larger one for my dining room, but the thought of all those tiny motifs has kept me from attempting it.

A little closer, to give you a better sense of the overall pattern. I really like it, not too flowery or lacey.

Lotus Flower Scarf

Update: I worked out how to start it with a circular motif for the first one, diagram is below at the end of the post.

As soon as I saw Loops & Threads Impeccable Glitter yarn in Ultra Violet, I knew my daughter would love it and I had to make something for her. I had to buy it, I tell you, must. buy. yarn.

I had been searching Queen Anne’s Lace patterns, but none of those were quite right. I wanted it a little bigger. And then I saw the Lotus Flower Lace scarf at The Crochet Lounge. Perfect!
